There's never been a better time to relive your past, as some of the greatest pop music of yesteryear is back. From the days before MTV to the height of boyband madness, awesome bubblegum songs are packing them in, and Vegas 411 was there in person this week to share the fun with you.
First things first: If you missed our recent concert and event broadcasts, head over right now to Facebook and "like" the official VEGAS 411 page. There you'll receive access to exciting live videos from all over the city, along with the latest in news, gossip, travel tips, brutally honest reviews, and much more.
Our first exciting event was at Westgate Las Vegas for the grand return of hitmaker Barry Manilow. The record-setting chart-topper set fire to rumors of his impending retirement with a splashy outdoor party, followed by weekend performances in the resort's legendary International Theater. Next up was Mandalay Bay Beach for an outdoor concert by sizzling, sweaty 98 Degrees. Once part of a powerhouse triumvirate that included NSYNC and Backstreet Boys, the men of 98 Degrees continue to record, tour, and give life to hits of the '90s. The band consists of brothers Drew and Nick Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and eternally young muscleman (and Vegas resident) Jeff Timmons.
The roughly 80-minute set was performed on a stage over Mandalay Bay's famous wave pool. Fans were encouraged to dance in the water or lounge on the sand. Songs included hits from their '90s heyday, a medley of Disney songs, newly-released single "Where Do You Wanna Go", and pop favorites made famous by counterparts like LFO.

After a sold-out opening weekend, the dream match-up of Debbie Gibbson and NKOTB's Joey McIntyre added four more dates to their SANDS SHOWROOM concert at Venetian. The run concluded on September 19th, and loyal enthusiasts were on their feet for much of the roughly two-hour set.
Following a template forged by Donny and Marie Osmond, the duo performed a raucous opening sequence, followed by showcases of the stars' individual careers. Then it was an off-the-cuff mixture of bad jokes, more songs, and a touching piano ballad by McIntyre with Ms. Gibson on the keys. Yes, your teen idols are all grown up.
